Preparation Hints
Besides reviewing the study guides, there are two main things that you can do to get ready for this exam.
First, start using Outlook the way that a true power user would. Try to take full advantage of all of the calendaring and contact-related features. Make sure that you know how rules work and that you are comfortable managing task lists. In essence, you will want to try to explore all of the various Outlook features.
Remember that this is a user level exam, so don’t waste your time studying deployment or troubleshooting techniques. Instead, focus your study efforts on performing various tasks within Outlook 2010. Try to think like an end user.
The other thing that I recommend doing in preparation for taking exam 77-884 is to take exam 77-881: Microsoft Word 2010. Exam 77-881 is relatively easy and it will get you used to the types of questions that you can expect to see on a Microsoft Office 2010 exam. There is even a good chance that a couple of the questions that you see on the Microsoft Word 2010 exam might reappear on the Outlook 2010 exam.
