Ross Scott Rubin is a vice president and senior analyst focusing on client technology at Jupiter Media Metrix. Ross founded and managed two research services analyzing consumer hardware, software and Internet access. He has created frameworks for evaluating the impact of digital television, wireless technology, personalization, home networking, and data broadcasting.
Prior to Jupiter, Ross was an analyst in the advanced technologies group at Salomon Brothers, where he led a team developing the company's first extranet application, and at McKinsey & Company, where he devised strategies for improving electronic communications and workflow. He also worked as a consultant for CondÃ© Nast, where he supported the company's first digitally produced publication. In addition, he has written or contributed to 11 books on computing and communications, and has written over 100 magazine articles for publications such as Internet World, PC/Computing, Information Week, and MacWEEK.
