Apply Logic

Most of the calculations are fairly simple and actually will not require the use of a calculator. In fact, the PSAT test writers are just as likely to test your logical reasoning ability or your ability to follow directions as they are to test your ability to plug numbers into your calculator. If you do use your calculator, be sure that you have an estimate of what your answer should look like ahead of time. If the answer you get from your calculator is not what you expected, try again.
