Memory Reliability

Computer memory technology has been refined to the point that computer memory is very reliable and it seldom fails. Because a memory failure can result in data corruption, however, purchase memory for a network server that supports Error Correcting Code (ECC). This technology can detect and correct a single-bit error and detect and report multiple-bit errors. Some network server hardware vendors provide a pre-failure warranty on the memory in their servers.
