Preparation Hints
Because this exam is a general skills exam, the best thing that you can do to prepare for it would be to set up a lab environment and get used to working with all of the various aspects of Exchange Server 2013. Although there is no shortage of questions on the exam related to day-to-day usage, be sure to spend plenty of time working through various types of installations as well as troubleshooting situations.
You should also spend some time learning about best practices as they relate to Exchange Server 2013 deployment planning. Although most of the planning material is covered in exam 70-342, you can expect to see some questions on this exam related to designing an Exchange Server deployment that is used to various business requirements (such as meeting a service level agreement).
