Certification expert Tim Warner provides a visual breakdown of the available Cisco certifications as well as selected reading lists for each.

The Cisco Career Certification program offers both general and job role-specific credentials for prospective certification candidates.

You will find that the three main certification tracks (Associate, Professional, and Expert) build upon each other in a linear fashion. For example, you need to attain your associate-level credential before you advance to the professional level, and so forth.

On the other hand, the Specialist track is focused toward people who want to validate their skills in a highly specific job role, such as data center network infrastructure design or Cisco Express Foundation sales.

To see a visual breakdown of the available Cisco certifications as well as selected reading lists for each, you may navigate through the interactive content below. You can also select from the list at the bottom of this page to learn about each track in the Cisco Career Certification program. Cisco's Web site has additional details.
