Conclusion

When it comes to your salary and contract arrangements, don't agree to anything that leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth. It's okay to make concessions, but don't take a position believing a company will suddenly alter its agreement when it realizes your value. Doing so is setting yourself up for failure.
