Toby Sauer

Toby Sauer is the Voice Curriculum Manager and voice instructor for Skyline. In this position, Toby is responsible for all voice course direction within Skyline as well as all the related practical labs.  Toby works with the other highly skilled voice instructors on his team to create and adapt the practical labs to best suit the student’s learning needs.  His current task list includes testing and preparing courses for the upcoming CCVP 8.0 release and other updated 8.0 releases. In his 28 years in the telecommunications industry, Toby has worked for the United States Marine Corps, Qwest Communications, Norstan Communications and Skyline ATS. Toby has installed and maintained everything from Key systems, Large PBXs, Small to Large Voicemail systems and the occasional job in Provider Central Offices (CO).

In the late 1990s, Toby started working with traditional VoIP by connecting traditional PBXs together using data equipment.  This set the stage for him to be involved in the earliest installations of Cisco CallManager.  Toby installed many different implementations of CallManager 2.4, 3.0, and 3.1 during his final 1.5 years at Norstan and was responsible for converting most of the Midwest's Cisco Offices from Traditional PBX to CallManager.

Toby moved to Skyline to become a voice instructor in 2000.  As the Communications Manager product continued to grow and develop, Toby was a key instructor to many of the original deployment partners.

Toby currently holds CCVP, CCNA-Voice, CCNA-RS, CCSI and various partner level certifications.  Toby is also prepping for his CCIE Voice Practical examination.  Toby teaches all of the Cisco Voice courses including ACUCM, AUM, IUM, AUC, IUC, CIPT1, CIPT2, TUC, CVOICE, QoS, IIUC1, IIUC2 and many custom variations of these courses.
